Several years ago I started crossing amaryllis (hippeastrum) every once in a while. The first to bloom was 'Belinda' x 'Carnival'. It looks like Belinda, so it was a bit of a disappointment. However, it is vigorous and floriferous, so it wasn't a total dud.
